Sylvan Esso - "Radio"

Has it really been two years since Sylvan Esso's self titled debut? I only ask because it still feels like it JUST came out and I listen to it like it just did. In a sense, they were to 2014 what Marian Hill is to 2016. They're catchy, fun, and refreshing. A description that is just as fitting after listening to this new single.

"Radio," is an addictively catchy tongue in cheek commentary on the state of the music on the radio and it's creators being human commodities, a satirical lashing worthy of Cake's "Rock 'n' Roll Lifestyle" (everyone should still be listening to Cake by the way). Their brand of electro-pop is tough to deny, courtesy of producer Nick Sanborn, and with singer Amelia Meath's creamy tone so easy on the ears, I don't see myself getting tired of this early fall dance track any time soon.

They're sophomore record is without and a name and currently being listed as a 2017 release, so we've got a bit of a ways to go, but with "Radio" and the old record, I think we can tough it out.
